Do tai-ahoms have their own traditional gamusa(pha-mai) like the tai-khamyang, tai khamti ?
As muga silk is not a part of tai/dai culture and was influenced later in assam, but you will still see ppl using a muga silk gamusa with stripes of blue,green and red in it
Gamusa-design in itself is Dai origin... the peacock symbols, the zig-zag motifs, the red-white color contrast everything points towards it and ofc the similarity with Dai Lue culture in XIshuangbanna... they say a picture is worth thousand words so here you go -
