Learn Ahom

As we know the major tai scripts used today were indirectly originated form the indo brahmi script.....but I want to know why tai people never adopted chinese logography script although they in and near China for centuries

As we all know ahoms at present the deep assamese(originally kamrupi pakrit) speakers.......and directly speaking tai/dai will not be a Good choice as it is way complicated than indo aryan languages like Assamese and Hindi.....so I guess at first the ahom families should Start speaking simple to sim
